One of the key features of Timberland PRO stock # 40000 is its durable welt construction. It is suited for many rough and rugged wearing work environments.
Its combination of features also allows this style to meet the highest ASTM F2413-05 Protective Toe footwear standards for Impact & Compression resistance as well as Metatarsal protection.
In addition to meeting the highest ASTM F2413-05 Impact & Compression and Metatarsal standards, Timberland PRO stock # 40000 also complies with its Electrical Hazard standards. This type of work boot is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those areas dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe work boots.

Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards. -
