The men's Thorogood Crosstrex I-Met delivers on safety, with a fully-integrated internal metatarsal guard and composite safety toe, without sacrificing flexibility and comfort.
ASTM-certified features make the Crosstrex I-Met ready for workplace challenges. This lightweight and tough hiker has a composite safety toe that meets or exceeds the ASTM F2413-11 standards for impact, compression. An internal metatarsal guard is flexible, yet hardens upon impact, protecting the tops of feet. This hiker also is electrical hazard resisting.
You will appreciate the sporty look of this 5-inch black leather hiker. Pull tabs affixed to a generously padded collar and tongue help with foot positioning. A cushion EVA midsole in contrasting grey color is energy-returning, working in conjunction with a removable polyurethane insole to battle foot fatigue. Inside the boot a waterproof membrane seals out moisture, keeping feet dry and comfortable. Underfoot an aggressive Crosstrex 360 outsole provides traction on a variety of surfaces.

Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
