Royer Composite Toe Met-Guard CSA Approved Puncture-Resistant Smelter Boot
This brown smelter boot has all the safety features you could want in your footwear. It's the Royer Composite Toe Met Guard CSA-Approved Puncture-Resistant Smelter Boot.
This safety toe boot meets the ASTM standard for protective toe, resisting up to 75 pounds of impact or compression. It also meets the CSA standard for protective toe.
The metatarsal guard boot is puncture-resistant and electrical hazard-resistant. It meets both the ASTM and CSA requirements for these features, too. That's a lot of safety "” your feet are safe in this work boot!
Despite all those features, Royer was able to keep this a non-metallic boot. That's convenient!
The eight-inch brown smelter boot is made of full-grain leather. It has Kevlar® stitching and a VELCRO® closure. The rubber outsole resists oils and slips.
Inside the boot is a removable EVA insole.

Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
CSA Approved Soles that provide electric shock resistance
Soles that provide electric shock resistance. Such certified footwear contains a sole and heel design assembly that, at the point of manufacturing, has electrical insulating properties.
CSA Approved - Sole Puncture Protection with Grade 1 Protective Toe
Grade 1 protective toe will withstand up to 125 joules (50 lbs) dropped from 0.6 m. Sole puncture protection is designed to withstand a force of not less than 1200 Newtons (270 lbs) and resist cracking after being subjected to 1.5 million flexes.
