The Quest Bound waterproof work boot by Kodiak combines the best qualities of a hiker with safety features that meet U.S. and Canadian standards. Starting from the bottom up, this hiker has a Vibram TC4 rubber outsole that grips wet and dry surfaces. A lightweight, shock-absorbing EVA midsole and premium footbed work together to maximize all-day comfort. Embeded within the boot is a composite plate that meets CSA Grade 1 requirements for puncture resistance underfoot. This boot also is electrical hazard resisting and has a composite toe that meets ASTM 2413 and CSA standards. Reaching 6 inches in height, this lace-up hiker has leather upper with reinforced toe and heel areas that mitigate abrasion. PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.

Grade 1 protective toe will withstand up to 125 joules (50 lbs) dropped from 0.6 m. Sole puncture protection is designed to withstand a force of not less than 1200 Newtons (270 lbs) and resist cracking after being subjected to 1.5 million flexes. -
