With the men's HOSS Stepper Ultra-Light, you get a lace-up oxford with metatarsal protection designed for an indoor, light industrial work environment around sensitive equipment.
This lace-up safety work oxford has a combination leather and nylon upper that houses a composite safety toe and an XRD internal metatarsal guard that hardens upon impact. Both of these features meet ASTM F2413 standards for impact and compression and this boot also is static-dissipative. Attached to the upper is an EVA midsole is a rubber outsole. Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Static Dissipative
Footwear is constructed of materials that, when in contact with properly grounded floor surfaces, will safely discharge static build-up through the shoe to the floor. Our testing experience contributed to the SD standard established in Section 6 of the ANSI Z41 and carried over to the current ASTM standards.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
