With the HOSS Fracker, you get a Western Work style with quality construction that is loaded with safety features. This 11-inch pull-on boot has a textured leather vamp with contrasting stitched shaft. Generous pockets help you pull on these boots. Affixed with a Goodyear Welt is a cushion EVA midsole with durable rubber outsole that is slip-resisting. A square toe houses a composite safety toe cap that meets ASTM requirements for impact and compression, giving you an alternative to steel that won't weigh you down. Extra depth is built in, giving toes a little more wiggle room. Additional comfort features include a mesh lining with waterproof membrane and a removable, PU memory foam insole. The Fracker also meets requirements for electrical hazard resistance, providing a level of protection from live circuits underfoot, and is puncture-resisting. Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
