Featuring advanced construction technologies and made in the USA with USA and globally-sourced components, the Genesis Series, from Thorogood, is the most technologically advanced boot made to-date by Thorogood. This 6-inch lace-up waterproof safety work boot is made with American full-grain leather in Chestnut. Built with Union labor, the Genesis Series has watertight direct injection construction to affix the upper to a molded PU midsole with nitrile rubber outsole. The outsole, with defined heel, is heat-, chemical-, oil-, and slip-resisting. A roomy oblique round toe encases a nano composite safety toe that meets ASTM F2413 PT Class 75 Protective Toe standards, as well as ASTM F2413 electrical hazard standards. The boot narrows to the heel. A Pedorthist-designed a custom Genesis insert and comfort Poron material placed within the forefoot supplies excellent cushion; a composite shank supplies support.
