This men's metatarsal guard work boot is actually a great cowboy boot! The Ariat® WorkHog® Composite Toe Internal Met-Guard Western Work Boot has a western boot look with the safety features of a great work boot and is waterproof.
The U-Turn® entry system, makes putting on these 11 inch boots easy. Hidden elastic panels inside the shaft stretch to help with access and foot placement. Waterproof full-grain leather in burin brown is on the foot. A Goodyear welt affixes the upper to the sole of the boot.
Ariat's ATS Max® platform is built in for stability, reduction of foot fatigue and for proper body alignment. A removable moisture-wicking footbed has gel pads and a heel stabilizer for comfort. An EVA midsole delivers lightweight cushioning; the extra-wide shank provides support. A highly abrasion-resistant and oil- and slip-resistant Duratred™ outsole will keep you on your feet.
This boot meets ASTM impact and compression standards with an XRD® Material metatarsal guard that hardens upon impact, protecting the top/metatarsal area of your foot, and a composite protective toe. And this WorkHog meets the ASTM standard for electrical hazard resistance, keeping you safe around live circuits.

Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
