The Catalyst VX by Ariat combines the latest technology with an innovative design that allows you to quickly and easily put on and take off these industrial work boots.
Most apparent on these 8-inch leather work boots is the front Velcro fit adjustment system with hook and loop closure - no shoe laces. And convenient medial side zip entry.
Meeting ASTM standards, these work boots are electrical hazard resisting, have a composite safety toe, and an XRD material internal metatarsal guard that hardens upon impact, protecting the tops of feet. An outsole with defined heel is made of a rubber compound that is heat resisting to 572 degrees F. And this outsole achieves a 0.4 slip rating with Mark II testing.
Made for those who are on their feet all day, Ariat included features that are both supportive and comfortable. A comfort system consisting of a shock-absorbing midsole, supportive shank and removable insole will see you through the day. A mesh lining promotes air flow within this waterproof boot. Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
