Setting the ACTIVE apart from other athletics is Helly Tech® performance technology. With this technology, you get a waterproof black action nubuck on grey Cordura®, allowing these athletics to transition from an indoor to an outdoor work environment and withstand wear. Inside, a waterproof membrane provides an added level of protection from moisture, yet remains breathable. Bold accents of orange make these ACTIVE athletics a standout.
The ACTIVE is ASTM F2413-certified for impact and compression with an internal composite safety toe. Metal-free construction gives you a shoe that won't scratch up against objects or slow access through metal detectors. Also certified for electrical hazards, these shoes provide a level of resistance to live wires. Additional protection is available underfoot with a rubber outsole. This outsole was tested for slip resistance, meeting ASTM F1677 standards and earning a 0.35 rating for oily/wet with Mark II testing.
And these work athletics are comfortable, too. An EPR midsole absorbs impact, reducing foot fatigue. A removable PU footbed with gel pod and built in arch support provides cushion and is anti-bacterial, reducing foot odor. A padded tongue and collar along with a pull tab assist with placement and fit.
