There have been many upgrades in technology over time allowing for better Lehigh products. In addition to the many fine products that we can provide from Rocky Brands, we also offer alternative selection from outside sources such as Thorogood with its Women's steel toe internal metatarsal work boot stock # 5044312.
A key comfort feature of the 5044312 is its contoured removable polyurethane insole that provides direct underfoot cushion comfort. The polyurethane material used in its insole is known for its cushioning while not bottoming out features.
In addition to meeting the highest ASTM F2413-05 Impact & Compression standards, the Thorogood 5044312 work boot also has an ASTM F2413-05 compliant metatarsal guard helping provide extra protection to the instep area along with the toes.
5044312 also complies with ASTM F2413-05 Electrical Hazard standards. This type of work boot is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those areas dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe work boots.

Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards. -
